DIY Hair Recovery Mask

What You Will Need:

1/2 Avocado
2tbs of Honey
3tbs Coconut Oil
2tbs Castor Oil
1 Banana
1 Egg
1 Bowl
A blender or Whisk

In a bowl, mix in your Avocado with your banana until it turns into a mushy consistency. In your blender (another bowl if you do not have one) crack open an egg and mix in the honey, coconut and castor oil. Pour in your Avocado and Banana mixture into your oils and blend until a smooth, thick consistency. If you do not have a blender, mixing the ingredients will take a little longer as you want it to be as smooth as possible with no lumps.

Once you've made your hair mask, you can saturate your hair and leave it to work its magic for a good hour before washing it off. I HIGHLY recommend using both Shampoo and Conditioner as the Castor Oil is very thick and will hold onto your roots if not thoroughly washed. Also, tiny bits of the banana will stay in your hair if not rinsed properly.

The Benefits:

Avocado - High in good fats and Vitamin E
Honey - Adds shine and is an antiseptic
Banana - The potassium thickens and grows hair
Egg - Adds protein and omega 3
Castor Oil - Penetrates the scalp and hair follicles which helps promote hair growth and strength. Prevents hair from breakage
Coconut Oil - Provides antioxidants to deep condition, heal and re-grow hair.
