Fried Chicken Recipe






Ingredients

Boneless Chicken Pieces
2 Bowls
2 Cups of Plain Flour
1 Cup of Milk
2 Eggs
Salt
Pepper
1tbsp - Chilli Flakes
2tsp - Paprika 
2tsp - Cajun Powder
2tsp - All Purpose Seasoning
3tsp - Garlic Powder


Prep Time: 7 Minutes 

Heat some oil in a pan, enough to cover the chicken. A fryer if you had one would be ideal.

Season your chicken with salt and pepper to start with on both sides. In one bowl, crack the eggs and whisk in the milk with a fork. In another bowl, add the dry ingredients and mix well. 

Piece by piece, add the chicken into the dry mixture and make sure it is completely covered in the flour seasoning. Add the chicken into the egg mixture, again, making sure it's coated fully and then back into the flour one more time. Place on a plate and leave to one side. 

Repeat for all pieces of chicken. 

I cooked 6 thighs but this recipe could probably make about 8/10. I had both flour and egg mixture left over.

Cooking Time: 15 Minutes

Add the chicken into the pan but don't add all of them at once, I did two batches with just two pieces in and then the last batch I added three (to make the process quicker). Once the chicken looks golden and crispy, you can remove and place on a paper towel to catch the oil. Frying took about 8-9 minutes (with me turning them over in the pan). I also added the chicken into the oven on a very low heat for about 6 minutes, just to make sure they were fully cooked all the way through. Voila! 

I've never cooked home made fried chicken before in my life but I'm glad I did, it's changed the game for me as I don't and won't eat KFC. Now I never have a reason to again.
