Day 12 | Christmas With Friends

Now that the countdown to Christmas has well and truly begun, what better way to get into the spirit than a pre-christmas party with your friends!
Me and Charlotte hosted our own Christmas Meal on Saturday. I got so involved that I actually forgot to take photos - haha (sad face) & unfortunately, this is all I got. I'm going to talk you through the evening anyways..

Earlier that day, we went shopping to get everything we needed. We decided to go for a pork roast dinner with all the trimmings and crackling. We had stuffing, potatoes, carrots with honey and pigs in blankets. We also had wine, party hats and crackers.

I have never in my life attempted to make a roast dinner, I know its pretty simple but its the timings that gets me. Luckily, I did everything right and to be honest, it wasn't that stressful. We had music playing in the background, wine in hand, it was so much fun.

I don't know if it was because we all had way too much to drink but nobody could stop laughing at dinner, there were tears and everything. Thats my favourite thing about this time of the year, everyone gets together and enjoys each others company.

For pudding, I made Oreo Truffles which are literally THE quickest things to make but also, the tastiest little treats ever! I might do a blogpost on those actually. Everyone seemed to enjoy them which I was pleased about. Overall the meal was a huge success and I'm proud of myself that I can actually cook and its edible lol.

After Dinner, we made our way into the living room and chilled out on the sofa with hot chocolates and TV. We really wanted to watch a Christmas movie but there was nothing on and I refuse to watch The Grinch until Christmas Eve lol. A recipe for the best Hot Chocolates here.

The whole night was a huge success and I'm a little sad that 12 days of Christmas is now officially over :( Wahhh. I'll definitely be doing this again next year.
But for now, I would just like to say thanks so much for reading my festive posts and for showing continued support, it means everything!

Merry Christmas,

Charleigh
