Day 7 | Top 5 Christmas Movies

It doesn't take a lot for me to get into the Christmas spirit, just shake a bell in my face and then bobs your uncle, I'm on the dance floor doing the 'Means Girls' Christmas routine - haha.

However, cosying up to a Christmas film really does put me in the mood. There isn't many festive movies that I DON'T like so narrowing it down to just 10 was proving difficult.. but I did it.

1. The Grinch
This is hands down my favourite festive movie. I could watch this all year round because it makes me so happy. Jim Carrey is one of my all time favourite actors by far and this movie never fails to make me laugh, no matter how many times I watch it. It also has a great message behind it. It is not Christmas (for me at least) without it.

2. Home Alone 1
I mean, it couldn't of really been a Christmas Movie post without Home Alone in it, could it? This film is one of my absolute favourites and I think its timeless. I'm pretty sure my children and their children after that will continue to watch this movie and fall in love with it, like I did. I would highly recommend.

3. Love Actually
This is another film that I could watch all year round and never fails to make me cry. Also.. it kind of makes me want to fall in love, haha. Its a story with different storylines in it, if that makes sense? and I think everyone can relate to at least one of them. If you haven't watched it yet, give it a watch because it is SO festive and has a lovely ending. I also really like the soundtrack.

4. Santa Clause 2
This is a really heartwarming story about Santa desperately looking to find a Mrs Clause (otherwise he can't be Santa anymore) and finds himself falling head over heels with his Son's headteacher. It is super funny, very cheesy and very Christmassy. Great family movie for kids too.

5. The Holiday
Again, this film makes me want to fall in love around the festive season (haha) - I watched this for the first time last month and I can't believe I've never seen it before. It is honestly phenomenal and Jude Law looks absolutely outstanding. I like the fact it shows Christmas in two different locations, LA and Surrey, England and that there is always a light at the end of the tunnel.

What are your favourite Christmas films? Leave a comment and let me know.
