Skincare: Makeup Removal

DITCH THE MAKEUP WIPES. Hello.. I've found the best combination to remove your makeup!

I can't stress enough the importance of removing your makeup, no matter how much or how little of it you have on, it must be gone before you go to sleep. Sleeping with your makeup on will clog your pores and lead to break outs and redness, which.. girrrrl, we do want.
Makeup wipes are quick and practical but they do not do the job properly. Okay, they're good for removing the first layer of makeup but to really get into your skin, you need a cleanser and a good wash of water.

I have discovered these two products that have seriously changed the game for me and now, I don't use makeup wipes at all. I will only use them to remove any left over mascara/eyeliner that the cleansers haven't quite sunk into but thats about it.

This is honestly magic in a pot. One small scoop of this will dissolve your makeup in seconds. It doesn't irritate my skin, it leaves my face feeling very moisturised and it doesn't dry or break me out. This cleanser is designed to melt makeup and dirt away with 0 irritation and thats exactly what it does. I use a warm cloth/flannel to wipe away the product and thats literally it. This is a holy grail product of mine and I can't recommend it enough.

I cleanse twice at night because I like to make sure that everything is off my face. So once I've used the Take The Day Off Cleanser, I will then move on to this cleansing milk and OMG.. Its insane. It basically does the exact same thing as the Clinique Cleanser but its more of a lotion than a balm that turns to an oil. It smells like peaches and mint and leaves no residue once its on the skin. I use 1 or 2 pumps (depending on how much makeup is left on my face) and apply to my face in circular motions.  Again, you can rub this on your eyes and it won't irritate or dry them out. Then I take a flannel with cold water this time and wash the milk off my face.

Then I'm done. My face is squeaky clean and I can then continue with my usual skincare..

I will also mention that I have combination to normal skin. I get an oily t-zone throughout the day and drier skin in the winter. However, the majority of the time my skin is fine.
These products might not work for you but just try them and see..
